When you apply to the Strategic Communications Programme, we collect the following personal data:

  • Full name, contact details and personal background information
  • CV and professional or academic history
  • A recent photograph
  • A video introduction
  • Written responses to application questions
  • Any other information you voluntarily provide as part of your application

3. Why We Collect Your Data and Our Lawful Basis

We collect and process your personal data solely for the purpose of administering and evaluating your application to the Strategic Communications Programme. Our lawful basis for processing your data is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR, specifically our legitimate interest in selecting suitable candidates for the programme in a fair and thorough manner.

We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the administration of this programme.

4. How Long We Keep Your Data

  • If your application is unsuccessful, your personal data will be deleted promptly following the conclusion of the admissions process.
  • If your application is successful and you participate in the programme, your data will be retained for a period of six months following the end of the programme, after which it will be securely deleted.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

Your data is processed on our behalf by Tally.so, the third-party platform used to host this application form. Tally.so acts as a data processor and processes your data solely in accordance with our instructions. They operate under data protection terms compliant with applicable data protection law.

Tally.so may store or process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, we are satisfied that an adequate level of protection is in place consistent with the requirements of the UK GDPR and the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your personal data with any other third parties.
