Sinan Wren UK Distributes Thousands of PPE to NHS Trusts, Care Homes and Burial Sites

As part of Sinan Wren Foundation’s Covid-19 Community Action Programme (CAP), Sinan Wren UK has procured directly from China over 5000 N95 FFP2 masks and over 2000 visors and coveralls for free distribution to NHS front line staff, care homes and burial staff across Britain. PPE aid is desperately needed across the UK and it has been our honour to work with our special volunteer teams to get this to our front line heroes. Delivery to those hospitals and centres that have pre-registered with the Foundation and are awaiting the PPE will start to receive the supplies from Tuesday 21st April and all deliveries will be complete by Thursday 23rd April 2020.

SW volunteers and alumni also took delivery of 1000 body bags today for free distribution to NHS hospitals and those providing pro-bono Burial services across Britain. Body bags like PPE are increasingly in short supply across the UK and this consignment will be delivered to NHS Trusts and centres starting Tuesday 21st April.

The Foundation could not have done this important work without its donors, volunteers, alumni and partners. We sincerely thank them all for making this happen.

As the month of Ramadan starts this week, the Foundation would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone Ramadan Mubarak and encourage everyone to do whatever they can to help those on the front line of dealing with this challenging environment.
